Measuring of the absorbance coefficients of water

In this project as part of the study course curriculum at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, the spectral absorbance coeffincients of water and steam were determined based on measurements with a prism spectrometer. The results were compared with values that can be found in literature. Both theoretical values, deriving from the atomical oscillation and rotation spectra, and measurements by other teams were considered.
